Roger is the alien character from the animated series American Dad, voiced by Seth MacFarlane, known for flamboyant costumes and exaggerated reactions. Short clips of his lines have circulated widely on soundboards and in meme edits, and this drawn out Myah became a standalone reaction detached from its original scene. Shared as a brief MP3, it spread through gaming chats, TikTok edits and Discord servers where users trigger it for instant comic shock. Its staying power comes from how recognizable Roger's voice remains even in a single syllable.
About this sound
Roger shouting Myah is a short voice clip from American Dad used as a reaction sound for surprise, confusion or a dramatic overreaction in memes.
This clip captures Roger delivering a loud, drawn out Myah with exaggerated emphasis that stretches the single syllable into a full reaction. The delivery is theatrical and slightly whiny, rising in pitch before cutting off, which makes it feel both surprised and performative. Because Roger is known for dramatic personas and over the top responses, the sound lands as comedy rather than genuine distress. Viewers instantly read it as mock shock, playful annoyance or disbelief, making even a mundane moment feel absurdly dramatic when the clip is dropped in without warning at full volume.
