About this sound

A short JoJo meme clip of Giorno Giovanna shouting the iconic 'wry' battle cry. Fans use it for dramatic entrances, punchline reveals and anime edit memes.

This is a short, punchy vocal clip built around the drawn-out JoJo 'wry' yell, presented here as a Giorno Giovanna meme sound. It opens with a tense inhale, then erupts into a raspy, theatrical scream that climbs in pitch before cutting off abruptly. The delivery is deliberately over-the-top, somewhere between a vampire's battle cry and a dramatic anime power-up shout. Dropped over an edit, it instantly signals that something absurdly intense is about to happen, turning an ordinary clip into a mock-epic JoJo moment that fans recognize within half a second.

Pro tip

Drop the scream on the frame your character turns to the camera or the punchline lands, then hard-cut the music underneath it. Keep the clip at full volume for impact, and avoid looping it back-to-back, since the joke dies when the yell overstays its welcome.

How people use it

Punching up a JoJo cosplay transformation reveal edit.
Mocking a friend's overdramatic gaming victory moment.
Introducing a boss fight in a funny gameplay montage.
Capping a meme when someone makes a bold claim.

More information

The stretched 'wry' scream comes from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, where it is famous as Dio Brando's unhinged vampire battle cry and one of anime's most imitated yells. Giorno Giovanna, the protagonist of the series' Golden Wind arc, has his own 'muda' barrage, so pairing his name with Dio's cry marks this as a fan-made meme mashup rather than a canonical line. Uploaded under the handle MyOwnStuff, clips like this live on soundboards where JoJo fans grab short vocal stingers for edits, reaction memes and gaming montages.
