Neco-Arc is a feline parody of Arcueid Brunestud, the heroine of Type-Moon's Tsukihime, and she later became a regular presence in the Melty Blood fighting games. Her exaggerated expressions, deadpan delivery and absurd behaviour made her a favourite for memes, fan edits and reaction clips long after her first appearances. Short vocal moments like this hum travel well because they need no translation and carry her personality in a single sound, which is why creators keep reusing them in anime edits, gaming videos and short-form posts.
About this sound
A short mmmm hum from Neco-Arc, the cat parody of Arcueid from Melty Blood, used in memes and reaction clips to signal smug, quiet approval.
This is a brief, close-miked vocal hum from Neco-Arc, delivered in a low, slightly nasal murmur that rises and falls like a catlike purr crossed with a thoughtful sigh. Lasting under two seconds, it has no words and no music, just the character's distinctive, deadpan voice filling a tiny pause. In an edit it lands as a knowing, slightly mischievous acknowledgment, the kind of sound that makes a joke feel shared rather than explained. It works because it is understated: viewers familiar with the character hear the smug confidence immediately, while everyone else still reads the tone as playful, curious, or quietly pleased.
