Neco Arc is the chibi cat parody of Arcueid Brunestud from Type-Moon's Tsukihime visual novel from 2000 and the Melty Blood fighting games. Her constant nya speech and chaotic comedy scenes in spin-offs like Carnival Phantasm turned her into a long-running anime meme. Clips of her voice spread through YouTube edits, Discord servers and TikTok, where she sits alongside other iconic cute vocal sounds like Tuturu as shorthand for hyperactive catgirl humor that needs no context to land.
About this sound
Neco Arc repeating nya in her high pitched cat voice from Tsukihime and Melty Blood, a short anime clip used for cute edits, memes and reaction videos.
This is a very short clip of Neco Arc rapidly saying nya three times in a row, the Japanese onomatopoeia for a cat meowing. Her voice is extremely high, squeaky and deliberately childlike, with each nya clipped and bouncy rather than drawn out. The repetition makes it sound like a tiny catgirl mascot bouncing in place, excited and a little chaotic. Dropped into a video it instantly signals cute anime energy, turning an ordinary moment into a playful, hyperactive joke and making the character on screen feel mischievous, adorable and impossible to take seriously.
