Newt is one of the main characters in Oddbods, a dialogue-free animated comedy series built around seven colourful characters getting into everyday mischief. Her laugh appears across various episodes, which is why fans recognise it even without words or context. As short clips from the show circulated on soundboards and in meme edits, this particular laugh became a handy shorthand for giggly delight and playful chaos. It remains popular because it is instantly readable, family friendly and easy to drop into almost any lighthearted video.
About this sound
Newt's cheerful cartoon laugh from Oddbods, used for silly reactions, funny fails and playful meme edits. It adds instant silliness to short reaction clips.
This clip captures Newt's bright, giggly laugh in full, a quick burst of high-pitched chuckles that rises and bubbles before settling into a delighted squeak. It sounds unmistakably cartoonish, playful and a little mischievous, like a character who has just seen something funny and cannot hold it in. Because the laugh is short, clear and full of energy, it instantly makes a scene feel lighter and sillier, turning an ordinary fail, joke or surprise into a moment that feels shared and fun. Listeners recognise the warmth and chaos in it at once, which is why it works so well as a reaction sound.
