The clip comes from Drake's 2015 track Back To Back, a diss record aimed at Meek Mill that became one of the most talked about rap releases of that year. Its opening exclamation was isolated by editors and shared as a standalone reaction audio across social platforms and soundboards. The short cut survived beyond the feud because the sentiment is universal, so creators kept using it for renewed disappointment rather than only for references to the original song or artist.
About this sound
Drake saying oh man from Back To Back, the short vocal exclamation used as a reaction sound for disbelief, frustration and secondhand embarrassment online.
This is a brief vocal clip of Drake delivering an exasperated oh man, cut to just over a second so the reaction lands instantly. The tone is weary and incredulous rather than angry, with the phrase stretched slightly for comic effect. It works because the delivery captures that split second when something has gone wrong again and words fail. Placed over a mistake, a reveal or an awkward pause, it tells the viewer exactly how to feel without any extra explanation or dialogue.
