The phrase Oh wie ist das schön is everyday German for expressing delight at something beautiful, which is why the clip translates easily even for listeners who do not speak German. Shared as a short reaction sound, it has found a home in memes, edits and celebration videos where a warm, sincere response works better than irony or sarcasm. Its communal singing style gives it a festive, old-fashioned feel, and that contrast with modern short-form video helps it stand out. Creators keep returning to it because the emotion is immediate, recognisable and universally positive.
