Old Town Road was released by Lil Nas X in 2019 and became a worldwide hit after spreading through TikTok and short-form video, where its catchy chorus made it a favourite for edits and memes. Fan-made parodies soon followed, rewriting its lyrics around other fandoms, and this Dragon Ball version is one of those user-created takes. Shared as a short soundboard clip, it survives because it pairs two widely recognised worlds, a viral song and a long-running anime, giving creators an instant, funny shorthand for Dragon Ball content.
About this sound
A Dragon Ball parody of Lil Nas X's Old Town Road, reworking the country rap hit as an anime tribute for fan edits, memes and fun anime videos.
This 38-second clip takes the familiar beat and hook of Old Town Road and gives it a Dragon Ball twist, swapping the cowboy imagery for anime references and playful lyrics about the series. The production keeps the original's laid-back country trap bounce, with its simple guitar loop, steady drums and catchy chorus, so it is instantly recognisable even before the new words land. Hearing a huge anime fandom layered over a chart-topping meme hit feels both nostalgic and funny, making viewers smile at the crossover and want to share it with friends who love the show.
