Yoshi is a long-running character from Nintendo's Mario series, known for his cheerful high-pitched voice and distinctive sounds. Short clips of his reactions have circulated widely in gameplay videos and edited memes, where a brief fall or defeat is paired with his surprised cry. This version works because it is instantly recognisable even without context, and its two-second length makes it easy to drop into short-form edits, streams and reaction compilations without slowing the pace.
About this sound
A short Yoshi voice clip saying oww wow as he falls down, taken from a Mario game moment and used in funny fail videos, edits and reaction memes.
This short clip captures Yoshi letting out a surprised oww wow as he tumbles downward. The voice is high pitched and cartoonish, rising with shock before dropping off as the fall takes hold. It lasts just over two seconds, so it lands instantly without needing any setup. Viewers recognise the familiar Mario character at once, and the sudden change from surprise to defeat makes a small mistake feel much funnier. It works best as a quick punchline for a fall, a slip, or a plan going wrong on screen.
