Pancada comes from the slapstick sound design of El Chavo del Ocho and El Chapulín Colorado, the Mexican series created by Roberto Gómez Bolaños in the 1970s and known in Brazil as Chaves and Chapolin. In the Brazilian dub shown for decades on SBT, the exaggerated hit became a shared childhood reference. Clips spread online as short edits and WhatsApp audios, and the bonk survived on its own as a ready-made punchline for any physical gag, long after the original episodes left daily TV.
