The clip is taken from New Heights by Ky-Mani, with the artist and track name preserved in the file metadata that accompanied the upload. Online, it circulates less as a full song excerpt and more as a short meme phrase, with searches for passing the blunt meme and pass the blunt meme leading people to this version. Its short length helps it work as a drop-in audio joke, and the recognisable wording carries the meaning even without visuals, which is why creators keep reusing it for relaxed hangout humour.
About this sound
A short music clip from Ky-Mani's New Heights built around the line pass me the blunt, used as a laid-back meme reaction for chill or smoking jokes.
This is a brief music excerpt from Ky-Mani's track New Heights, centred on the relaxed vocal hook asking to pass the blunt. The clip runs under ten seconds and keeps a smooth, laid-back reggae-influenced groove with the sung line sitting clearly on top of the beat. Its appeal is the contrast between the calm delivery and how bluntly the request is phrased, which makes the moment feel funny rather than intense. Listeners recognise it as a chill, stoner-culture shorthand that instantly signals someone wants to relax and join the rotation.
