The voice belongs to Omaru Polka, a Japanese VTuber from Hololive whose expressive short lines are frequently clipped by fans and shared on soundboards and in stream highlights. Chotto matte simply means wait a moment in Japanese, which gives the clip an easy, instantly understood use even for viewers who do not speak the language. Because it is only about a second long, it travels well in short videos, reaction edits and Discord chats, where it is often placed alongside other Japanese voice clips such as Onii-chan, onii-chan to interrupt a joke or stall a reveal.
About this sound
Polka's cute chotto matte voice line from Hololive, saying wait a moment in Japanese, often used to pause a funny moment or interrupt a chat.
This is a very short, bright voice clip of Polka, the Hololive VTuber, cheerfully calling out chotto matte, Japanese for wait a moment, with a stretched, playful ending that makes it sound both impatient and cute. At just over a second long, her high, energetic delivery cuts through instantly, with a rising teasing tone that feels like she is stopping someone mid-sentence. It works as a comic pause, turning a fast edit or a chat joke into a moment of pretend scolding, and listeners usually recognise the familiar VTuber charm even without knowing the original stream.
