About this sound

The Screech sound effect from Roblox Doors, a sudden high pitched shriek and door noise used for jumpscare edits, horror memes and tense gaming videos.

This is the unsettling Screech cue from the Roblox horror game Doors, built around a sharp, high pitched shriek that cuts in without warning. It layers a piercing vocal like screech over rumbling movement and a creaking door feel, making a short moment feel much larger and more threatening. Listeners instantly brace for a jumpscare, even when nothing appears on screen. The abruptness is the point, it turns a quiet hallway or empty room into a threat, and that tension makes it perfect for edits where the scare itself matters more than what causes it.

Pro tip

Place the screech right on a door opening or a hard cut to black, not under dialogue. Let a second of silence play before it, keep the volume spike intact, and cut away immediately after the peak so the scare does not drag.

How people use it

Drop it when a character opens a haunted door.
Use it for Roblox Doors jumpscare edit moments.
Add it before a fake scare in horror gameplay.
Play it when someone peeks into a dark room.

More information

Doors is a first person Roblox horror game released in 2022 by LSPLASH, where players move through hotel rooms while avoiding hostile entities. Screech is one of those entities, known for lurking in dark rooms, whispering to get attention, then lunging with a loud screech if the player looks at it. Clips of the attack spread through Roblox gameplay videos and horror edits on YouTube and TikTok, alongside other staples like the FNAF Jumpscare Scream. Its instant recognition among Doors players keeps it in regular use for memes and fan made scares.

FAQ

What is the Screech sound from Doors?

The sound is Screech's attack cue from Roblox Doors. When the entity appears in a dark room and the player looks at it, it lets out a loud, high pitched screech during its jumpscare, which is why creators reuse it for sudden horror moments.

Where does Screech appear in Doors?

Screech appears in dark rooms in the Hotel, the main setting of Doors. It first tries to get the player's attention with a quiet psst, and if they turn and look toward it in time, it triggers the screeching jumpscare attack.

How do creators use the Screech Doors sound?

Creators drop it at the exact moment of a reveal, door opening or look toward camera. The short build and sharp peak work best with a quick zoom, a cut to black or a frozen frame, letting the sound deliver the scare without extra effects.
