About this sound

A 9-second clip from Shahmen's track Mark, with a deep rap vocal over a dark, moody beat that creators use for edits, intros and short meme videos.

This clip pulls a short section from Shahmen's song Mark, built around a low, gravelly rap delivery and a sparse, heavy beat. The production feels dark and hypnotic, with the vocal sitting close and dry over minimal instrumentation that leaves a lot of space around each line. In a video it changes the mood instantly, making a simple cut feel more serious, stylish and a little ominous. Creators often let the beat breathe for a few seconds before a reveal, because the restrained tempo and deep tone create tension without needing a loud drop or extra effects.

Pro tip

Place the clip right before a reveal or title card and let the first beat land on the cut. Keep dialogue low underneath, avoid adding extra bass or reverb, and cut out cleanly before the vocal phrase loses its tension.
