The hook comes from Dom Dom Yes Yes, a 2022 track by Bulgarian artist Biser King built around a booming balkan brass riff and a football-style vocal chant. In May 2023 the animator DaFuq!?Boom! launched the Skibidi Toilet web series, where a head popping out of a toilet sings the chorus, and the show's surreal war between toilets and camera-headed men exploded across TikTok and YouTube Shorts. The song's chant became shorthand for the whole trend, and like other viral meme sounds it survives because one second of brass is enough to trigger the joke.
