Killer Klowns from Outer Space is a 1988 horror comedy in which alien clowns arrive in a small town and terrorise its residents, with Debbie among the humans trying to escape them. Slim is one of those clowns, and his distinctive laugh has circulated online as a short reaction clip for horror, prank and meme edits. Like the Woody Woodpecker laugh, it is immediately recognisable even without a picture, which helps it survive as a standalone sound. Fans still use it because it captures the film's blend of comedy and menace in only a few seconds.
About this sound
The manic laugh of Slim from Killer Klowns from Outer Space, a creepy clown cackle used in horror edits and meme videos when a villainous plan comes together.
This is a short, high-pitched cackle from Slim, one of the alien clowns in Killer Klowns from Outer Space. The laugh rises quickly, breaks into a rattling, mocking giggle, and ends before it can settle, which makes it feel both playful and threatening at the same time. Heard on its own, it sounds like a villain enjoying a joke nobody else is in on, and that uneasy mix is exactly why it works in horror edits. It lands instantly, needs no explanation, and leaves the listener waiting for what the clown will do next.
