Killer Klowns from Outer Space is a 1988 cult horror-comedy about alien clowns who invade a small town, and Spikey is one of the film's distinctive klowns, known for his spiked appearance and gleeful cruelty. Clips of the klowns' laughs have circulated online for years among horror fans, often lifted for Halloween compilations, reaction videos and meme edits. The short, instantly recognisable cackle endures because it captures the film's mix of camp and menace in just two seconds, making it easy to drop into modern short-form content.
About this sound
Spikey's manic laugh from Killer Klowns, a short creepy clown cackle perfect for horror edits, Halloween videos and spooky meme reactions and pranks.
This is a short, high-pitched cackle from Spikey, one of the alien clowns in Killer Klowns, delivered in a gleeful, slightly unhinged tone that starts sharp and bubbles into a wheezy, mocking laugh. It lasts just over two seconds, so it lands as a quick burst of menace rather than a long monologue, with a cartoonish edge that makes it feel playful as well as unsettling. Hearing it instantly suggests something mischievous is about to happen, which is why it works so well as a punchline sting for a jump scare, a prank reveal or a villainous reaction in a short video.
