About this sound

A short clip of Jason Derulo singing Savage Love, the 2020 hit produced by Jawsh 685, used in TikTok edits and meme videos for romantic moments.

This is a twelve-second excerpt from Savage Love, with Jason Derulo singing over Jawsh 685's smooth, saxophone-led beat. The vocal is clear and melodic, rising into the catchy chorus that made the song a global TikTok hit, while the production stays light and danceable underneath. It feels instantly familiar even to listeners who do not know the title, because the hook was everywhere in 2020. Played on its own, it adds a romantic, confident, or slightly dramatic lift, turning a simple clip into something that feels like the start of a music video moment.

Pro tip

Drop the clip right as a couple, crush, or dramatic reveal appears on screen, and let the chorus carry the moment without extra music underneath. Cut it before the hook repeats, and avoid pairing it with loud sound effects that would bury Derulo's vocal.

How people use it

Creators use it for romantic couple edits on TikTok.
Editors add it to dramatic reveal or transformation videos.
Streamers play it when a funny crush moment happens.
Meme makers pair it with confident walk-in clips.

More information

Savage Love began as Jawsh 685's instrumental siren beat, which spread widely on TikTok in 2019 and 2020 through dance videos. Jason Derulo then added his vocals and released the full song in 2020, with Jawsh 685 credited as a co-artist, and it went on to reach number one in several countries. The short chorus excerpt remains popular because the hook is instantly recognisable from that TikTok wave, even in a clip lasting only a few seconds.
