About this sound

Short anime voice clip of Sumokii shouting tasukete for help, from Kaze's Sacrifice. Used for funny panic, rescue, and exaggerated distress moments.

This is a very short anime voice clip lasting under a second, built around a single urgent shout of tasukete, the Japanese word for help. The delivery is high, panicked and slightly desperate, cutting in fast with no build up and ending just as abruptly. Because it is so brief and intense, it lands like a comedic cry for rescue rather than a serious emergency. Viewers instantly read it as over the top distress, which makes it perfect for punctuating moments where a character is overwhelmed, trapped or begging to be saved from an embarrassing situation.

Pro tip

Drop it right on the exact frame a character realises they are stuck, with no fade in, and let the abrupt cut do the work. Pair it with a quick zoom or freeze frame, and avoid looping it, which kills the panic.

How people use it

Drop it when a character begs for a rescue.
Add it to anime edits with exaggerated panic moments.
Use it for gaming clips when players get trapped.
Play it over fails that need instant comedic distress.

More information

Listed as audio from Kaze's Sacrifice, this clip centres on the Japanese plea tasukete, widely understood by anime fans as a call for help. Short voice shouts like this spread easily on soundboards because they can be dropped into almost any scene without context and still read clearly. The Sumokii name and the double exclamation in the original title point to its use as a quick reaction sound rather than a full dialogue line, and its sub second length keeps it popular for edits, streams and meme compilations needing instant panic.

How do creators use this sound effect?

Creators place it at the exact moment someone gets trapped, overwhelmed or embarrassed, letting the abrupt shout act as the punchline. It works best unlooped over a freeze frame, zoom in or quick cut to another character reacting.
