The clip grew out of Among Us culture online, where calling someone sus became shorthand for acting suspicious. Sussy balls turned that slang into a sillier, more quotable phrase that spread through meme edits, Discord soundboards and short videos. It sits alongside other goofy ahh sounds that rely on a ridiculous voice line rather than a setup. Because the phrase needs no explanation, creators still reuse it for impostor jokes, fake callouts and random absurd moments years after the game peaked.
