About this sound

The telephone ringing sound from Talking Ben the Dog, the mobile game dog who answers calls. Creators use it for prank calls, meme edits and reaction videos.

The familiar old-style telephone ring from Talking Ben the Dog plays as a sharp, repeating electronic trill that instantly signals an incoming call from the grumpy cartoon dog. It is short, clear and instantly recognisable, cutting through dialogue and music without needing any context. Hearing it makes viewers expect Ben to pick up, grumble or react, which is why it works so well as a punchline or interruption. The ring feels nostalgic and slightly silly, turning an ordinary phone moment into a joke and giving editors a clean, punchy cue for comedy timing.

Pro tip

Drop the ring just before a cut to Ben or a fake caller, and let it ring twice before he answers to build anticipation. Pair it with a phone vibration or surprised face, but avoid layering it over loud music, which dulls its sharp edge.

How people use it

Pranking a friend with a fake Ben phone call.
Starting a meme edit with an unexpected incoming call.
Interrupting a quiet scene for a sudden comedy punchline.
Adding a ringtone to a Talking Ben reaction video.
