Tank Dempsey is one of the original playable Marines in Call of Duty Zombies, voiced by Steve Blum and known for loud, sarcastic one-liners during combat. The character first appeared in the World at War era and returned across later Black Ops Zombies maps with the Ultimis and Primis crews. Short voice clips like this one circulate among fans because a single excuse works far beyond its original moment, fitting slips, knockdowns and careless deaths in gameplay montages shared online.
About this sound
Tank Dempsey saying must've slipped from Call of Duty Zombies, a short voice line used for accidental falls, mistakes and funny fail moments in edits.
This short clip captures Tank Dempsey delivering the line must've slipped in his blunt, soldierly tone. The delivery is dry and offhand, as if a clumsy accident barely deserves an explanation, which is what makes it funny out of context. His rough American voice stays calm while the excuse sounds completely unconvincing, creating a perfect mismatch for falls and mishaps. Played over a stumble, dropped weapon or sudden character death, it turns a mistake into a casual shrug and lets the visual gag land without extra dialogue or setup needed.
