Tung Tung Tung Sahur originated on TikTok in early 2025 as an Indonesian brainrot meme about sahur, the pre dawn meal during Ramadan. Its character is a wooden log like figure carrying a bat, said to appear after repeated calls go unanswered, and the tung sound imitates a traditional wooden slit drum used to wake people. The meme joined the wider brainrot wave alongside Italian brainrot characters, spawning countless remixes. This funk version follows that spread, reshaping the chant into a short phonk track for edits and reposts.
About this sound
Tung Sahur Funk is a phonk remix of the viral Indonesian brainrot chant, used for brainrot edits, jumpscare builds and chaotic TikTok videos today.
This is a short funk and phonk style remix built around the repeated Tung Tung Tung Sahur chant, with a heavy bouncing beat layered under the vocal loop. The chant repeats in a flat, wooden knocking rhythm while the bass and drums push it into a fast, danceable groove. It feels absurd and slightly ominous at the same time, turning a simple Ramadan wake up call into a hypnotic meme track. Played suddenly, it grabs attention, builds tension for a few seconds, then lands as a joke through sheer repetition and energy.
