Hannibal Buress delivered this deadpan wack as co-host of The Eric Andre Show, the Adult Swim talk show parody that premiered in 2012. The show built its reputation on awkward interviews and absurdist bits, and Buress played the unimpressed straight man to Eric Andre's chaos. Short reaction clips from the series circulate widely on soundboards and in meme edits because they land instantly. Like a mocking laugh, it works as a one-word verdict on something lame, which keeps the half-second clip in regular use years later.
About this sound
Hannibal Buress deadpans wack in a clip from The Eric Andre Show. Creators use this reaction sound effect to call out something lame, corny or disappointing.
The clip is just Hannibal Buress saying the word wack, less than a second long, in his flat deadpan tone. There is no music or buildup, only his dry voice dropping the judgment with perfect timing. It lands because Buress sounds completely unimpressed, like he has seen it all before. Played over a video, it instantly frames whatever came before it as lame or try-hard. Viewers hear it as a verdict rather than a joke, which makes it useful for roasts, failed stunts and cringe moments.
