About this sound

The Xaropinho rapaiz sound effect is the puppet from Programa do Ratinho saying rapaz in a funny voice, used for surprised and reaction memes.

This is a short voice clip of Xaropinho, the puppet mouse from Brazilian television, dragging out his catchphrase rapaz as rapaiz. The delivery is high pitched, nasal and exaggerated, with the last syllable stretched for comic effect. It is not angry or serious, it sounds like someone has just seen something unbelievable and needs a second to process it. That mix of disbelief and amusement is why the clip lands so well as a reaction, instantly signalling surprise, confusion or playful shock without any extra explanation needed from the video itself.

Pro tip

Drop it right after the reveal or mistake, not over dialogue, and let the stretched rapaiz finish before you cut. Pair it with a freeze frame or slow zoom on a shocked face, and keep the original volume loud for impact.

How people use it

When a friend says something completely absurd in chat.
After a character makes a huge embarrassing mistake onscreen.
For reaction videos to shocking or unexpected news clips.
When a gameplay moment goes hilariously wrong without warning.
