The sound comes from a short Vine clip where a young boy confronts the camera and shouts the line before breaking into the boogie woogie chant from the Electric Slide dance. The clip spread as you're my dad boogie woogie because viewers quoted the whole routine and reused it for dad jokes and unexpected family reveals. After Vine closed, the audio survived on soundboards and in short form edits, where its two part structure still works as a setup and payoff for reaction videos today.
About this sound
A kid excitedly yells you are my dad then dances to boogie woogie in this viral Vine clip, now used for funny dad reveals and reaction edits.
This clip captures a small kid in full excited meltdown mode, proudly announcing that someone is his dad before launching into a boogie woogie dance. The voice is high, earnest and completely unfiltered, which is what makes the line land as comedy rather than a normal greeting. It builds in two beats, the declaration first and the silly dance chant second, giving editors a natural punchline. Listeners instantly get the joke because the confidence is so total, turning an ordinary family moment into a loud, joyful reaction sound.
