Young Black and Rich is a song by American rapper Melly Mike, released in 2024. It found a much larger audience on TikTok in 2025, where the chorus was lifted as a ready-made soundtrack for flex and glow up edits. Creators reused the same section because the repeated title line summarises the whole joke or celebration without needing explanation. The trend spread across fashion, fitness, car and graduation videos, and the clip remains popular as a quick shorthand for feeling successful, stylish and in control.
About this sound
The viral chorus from Melly Mike's Young Black and Rich, used on TikTok for flex edits, glow ups, success montages and confident meme posts.
This clip is the hook from Young Black and Rich, built around a confident rap vocal repeating the title line over a bouncy, bass-heavy beat. The delivery is smooth and self-assured rather than shouted, with the phrase landing like a mantra for success and independence. At just over twenty seconds it gives an edit time to build, showing an outfit, a car, a result or a transformation in rhythm with the music. Viewers instantly read it as a flex, which is why it works both sincerely for achievements and ironically for tiny everyday wins.
