About this sound

Yuga Aoyama's dramatic scream from My Hero Academia Season 5. A classic anime panic reaction used in memes, edits and funny fail compilations.

This is the sound of Yuga Aoyama, the flamboyant support-class hero from My Hero Academia, letting out a full-throated scream. His voice cracks into a high, desperate wail that drips with melodrama, exactly the over-the-top theatrical panic his character is famous for. It lands like a cartoonish cry of terror, funny precisely because he commits to it so completely. Viewers hear a mix of fear and flair, which makes it perfect for moments that are exaggerated rather than truly scary.

Pro tip

Drop the scream right on the cut where something goes wrong in your edit, then hard-cut to the aftermath while the echo fades. Pair it with a zoom on Aoyama's shocked face, and avoid layering it under dialogue since its wail will bury any words.
