The clip comes from Austin Powers International Man of Mystery from 1997, where Dr Evil attends a father son therapy group with Scott Evil. Played by Mike Myers and Seth Green, their argument turns into Dr Evil repeating zip it in more inventive ways to keep control. The scene became one of the most quoted moments from the film series and spread widely as a reaction sound online. Its mix of nostalgia and pure annoyance keeps it useful whenever a conversation needs shutting down.
About this sound
Dr Evil saying zip it from Austin Powers, the funny movie quote where he calls himself Zippy Long Stockings to silence Scott in a group meeting.
This is Dr Evil from Austin Powers delivering his increasingly desperate zip it rant, ending with the absurd line about being Zippy Long Stockings. Played by Mike Myers, he snaps the phrase over and over in a sharp, rising voice, cutting off any reply before it can start. The delivery gets funnier and more childish with each repetition, turning a villain trying to sound in control into a flustered dad who cannot win an argument. Hearing it instantly signals someone is being shut down in the most theatrical, petty way possible.
