The clip comes from the third season of Stranger Things, released in 2019, where Steve Harrington works at Scoops Ahoy, an ice cream parlour in Starcourt Mall. Forced to wear a sailor uniform and use the shop's nautical greeting with co-worker Robin Buckley, Steve turns the line into a running joke about his reduced status after school. Fans clipped the greeting for edits and reaction posts, and its short, confident delivery keeps it popular as a playful hello far beyond the series itself.
