The laugh comes from Chucky, the Good Guy doll possessed by killer Charles Lee Ray in the Child's Play franchise created by Don Mancini, which began with the 1988 film and later continued in sequels and the Chucky television series. Voiced by Brad Dourif, the character's childlike giggle became one of horror's most quoted sounds. Clips of the laugh spread on soundboards and short video platforms as a shorthand for creepy dolls and evil laughter, and it remains popular every Halloween season for edits, pranks and horror compilations.

The creepy Chucky laugh sound effect from the Child's Play horror films, a high pitched evil doll giggle used for jump scares and Halloween edits.
This is the unsettling high pitched laugh of Chucky, the possessed killer doll, a short burst of manic giggling that rises into a cackling taunt. The voice is shrill and childlike but twisted with menace, making it instantly recognisable as horror rather than humour. At just under five seconds it lands like a sting, turning an ordinary reveal or close up into something threatening. Viewers feel a mix of nostalgia for classic slasher films and genuine unease, which is why the clip works so well as a reaction to creepy toys, villains and unexpected twists.
