Curb Your Enthusiasm is an HBO comedy series created by and starring Larry David that premiered in 2000, and its closing theme, Frolic by Luciano Michelini, became inseparable from the show's brand of social embarrassment. As clips of awkward encounters circulated on YouTube and later TikTok, editors began lifting the tune to punctuate their own cringeworthy moments, even without any reference to the series itself. It endures because the melody alone tells viewers exactly what kind of disaster they have just witnessed.

The bouncy Curb Your Enthusiasm theme music that plays over awkward, embarrassing moments, now used in memes and videos to highlight social disasters.
The clip is the jaunty, circus-like theme that closes almost every episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, built around a bright, bouncing melody played on strings and brass with a cheeky, almost mischievous rhythm. It starts with a playful flourish and keeps a light, bouncy bounce that feels both triumphant and slightly ridiculous, as if the music itself is smirking at what just happened. Hearing it instantly signals that someone has made a social blunder, said the wrong thing, or walked straight into an avoidable disaster, turning an awkward moment into a punchline without a single word of explanation.
