John Doe began as one of Roblox's oldest urban legends, tied to a test account from the platform's early days and stories about a mysterious player appearing on March 18. Forsaken reimagined him as a corrupted killer, giving the myth a distorted voice and this manic laugh. Clips spread through Roblox edits and horror compilations, sitting alongside classics like the Roblox oof on soundboards where fans use it to signal his presence. Its popularity comes from that mix of nostalgia, lore and pure theatrical madness.

The John Doe insane laugh from Forsaken is a manic cackle by the Roblox horror killer, used for villain reveals, chases and unhinged meme edits.
This is a long, escalating maniacal laugh performed in the voice of John Doe, the corrupted killer from the Roblox asymmetrical horror game Forsaken. It starts as a low chuckle and quickly spirals into loud, uneven cackling with gasps and distorted edges that make it sound genuinely unhinged. The performance feels less like amusement and more like a taunt before an attack. Listeners instantly read it as danger and madness combined, which is why the clip lands so effectively over villain entrances, sudden betrayals and moments when a character completely loses control.
