Reaper is the shotgun wielding hero from Blizzard's Overwatch, released in 2016, whose Death Blossom ultimate became one of the game's most clipped and parodied plays. Last Resort v2 circulated among soundboard and editing communities as a corrected version, with players specifically seeking this cut because earlier uploads failed to trigger or sync properly. Its lasting use comes from instant recognition among shooter fans, who connect the audio to a high risk flank and a potential play of the game without needing any visual context at all.

Last Resort v2 is the working sound effect for Reaper ults in Overwatch, used in edits and memes when a Death Blossom wipes the whole enemy team.
Last Resort v2 is a short, intense clip built around Reaper's ultimate moment in Overwatch, with the v2 cut noted as the one that actually works in game edits. It hits with a sudden rise in volume and aggression, matching the spinning Death Blossom animation as Reaper tears through a grouped team. The sound feels frantic and final, turning a normal fight into a highlight moment. Viewers instantly read it as danger incoming, which is why a brief pause before it lands makes the payoff feel even bigger and more chaotic.
