Manda is a giant sea-serpent kaiju created by Toho for the Japanese film Atragon in 1963, where it guarded the undersea kingdom of Mu. The creature later returned in Destroy All Monsters in 1968 and Godzilla: Final Wars in 2004, becoming a familiar, if less famous, member of the Godzilla monster roster. Because Manda appears far less often than Godzilla or Mothra, its roar is a distinctive choice for fans, who use the short clip in kaiju edits, reaction videos and monster-themed memes to signal an ancient creature rising from the sea.

The Manda kaiju sound effect is a short, deep monster roar from the Godzilla films, used for sea-serpent reveals, kaiju battles and dramatic monster moments.
This short clip captures the deep, guttural roar associated with Manda, the giant sea-serpent kaiju from the Godzilla universe. It opens with a low, rumbling growl that rises into a harsh, echoing cry, giving the impression of something enormous surfacing from dark water. The sound feels ancient, threatening and strangely majestic at once, which is why it lands so well when a huge creature is revealed on screen. Played on its own, it creates instant tension and scale without needing any dialogue or music, making a small edit feel suddenly much larger and more cinematic.
