The pingas joke comes from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, the 1993 cartoon where Dr. Robotnik says snooping as usual I see. Fans on early YouTube isolated pingas from that line around 2006 and built YouTube Poop remixes around it. Editors chopped, stuttered and repeated Robotnik's voice to create new phrases like drop the pingas, which spread through Sonic forums and meme compilations and stayed alive as a nostalgic shorthand for that era of editing.

Stuttered meme clip of Dr. Robotnik saying drop the pingas, from the Sonic cartoon YTP edits. Used for absurd punchlines and random humor edits.
The clip features a heavily edited, stuttering voice repeating a phrase built around pingas, the famous misheard word from Dr. Robotnik. The delivery trips over the first syllable before landing hard on the punchline, making it sound both broken and intentional. That glitchy timing is the joke, turning a cartoon villain line into a short burst of nonsense. It works because viewers instantly recognise the reference while the repetition builds anticipation for the final word. The effect is chaotic, nostalgic, and deliberately stupid in the best meme way.
