Goddess of Victory: Nikke is a mobile shooter gacha game released in 2022, where players collect characters called Nikkes through random pulls. Scarlet stands out as a highly wanted Pilgrim unit with a distinctive sword fighting style, so accounts without her quickly earned the Scarletless label in fan posts and videos. The term spread as shorthand for bad pull luck rather than as an official game term. Clips using the name now signal that shared frustration, especially in summon showcases, roster reviews, and edits where a sought after unit never appears.

An 18 second Nikke clip linked to Scarlet, shared by Goddess of Victory players joking about not having her and used in gacha edits and memes.
This clip is built around the running joke in the Nikke community about being Scarletless, meaning a player who still does not have Scarlet despite her popularity. The audio runs for about eighteen seconds, long enough to play as a punchline rather than a single hit, and it lands best when the pull or team screen makes the absence obvious. Viewers familiar with the game read it instantly as unlucky gacha humour, while others hear a dramatic anime style sting that underlines disappointment, envy, and the feeling of being left out of the meta.
