The clip comes from the Fullmetal Alchemist 4koma Theater shorts, a comedy spin-off that pokes fun at the main series and its characters. Scar, the Ishvalan warrior whose real name is never given in the main story, becomes the perfect subject for that kind of joke, because the parody can invent a reveal the original deliberately leaves out. Shared on soundboards and in anime edits, it has stuck around as a quick shorthand for the way fast, loud anime dialogue can sound to someone hearing it for the first time.

A short clip from Fullmetal Alchemist 4koma Theater revealing Scar's real name, used by fans to joke about how anime sounds to parents in memes and edits.
This short clip captures a comedic moment from the Fullmetal Alchemist 4koma Theater shorts, built around the running joke that Scar never gets a normal name. The voices are fast, loud and deliberately overacted, with the usual anime shouting and dramatic pauses stacked on top of each other until the reveal lands as pure nonsense to an outsider. For fans it is funny because it plays on a detail the series leaves blank, while for anyone else it sounds exactly like the chaotic noise parents imagine when they hear anime from another room, which is why the clip works so well as a reaction.
