Uploaded under the misspelled name screem, this clip belongs to the long tradition of stock scream effects shared across games, edits and soundboards. Its exact recording source is not documented, so it circulates purely on how it sounds rather than a famous scene. Creators pair it with horror content, often alongside a jumpscare scream, and reuse it for comedy by placing a serious scream over a trivial mishap. That flexibility between genuine scares and parody has kept simple scream effects in constant rotation online.

A loud human scream sound effect lasting almost six seconds, used for jumpscares, panic moments, horror edits and over-the-top reaction clips.
This is a raw, high-pitched human scream that holds for several seconds rather than cutting off in a quick yelp. The volume stays intense throughout, with a strained, panicked edge that makes it feel urgent and slightly unsettling. Because there are no words or background music, the scream reads instantly in any edit as fear, shock or pain. Viewers tend to react before they have time to think, which is why the clip works so well dropped suddenly into an otherwise calm or silly scene for contrast.
