Shrek has been a staple of internet meme culture since the first DreamWorks film made the ogre a household name, and absurd edits of the character have circulated for years on short-form video platforms. This clip fits that tradition, taking a familiar character and pushing him into a deliberately crude, nonsensical scenario that works as a reaction rather than a story. Its short length and instantly recognisable character make it easy to drop into edits, streams and group chats, where the joke is less about what happens and more about the shock of hearing Shrek in such a ridiculous context.

A 12-second viral meme sound of Shrek pooping his brain, used as a gross-out reaction clip for absurd, shocking or over-the-top moments in edits.
This is a short, deliberately absurd meme clip built around Shrek in a gross-out moment that viewers are not meant to take seriously. The humour comes from the clash between a familiar, friendly ogre and an over-the-top bodily joke, delivered in a way that feels sudden, silly and slightly uncomfortable. Played at full volume it lands as a shock gag, making a normal scene feel ridiculous in an instant. Creators use it when something has gone completely off the rails or when a reveal is so stupid it deserves an equally stupid reaction, and it works because it is short, memorable and instantly recognisable as Shrek.
