The sound is credited to the Pluto short Private Pluto, released April 2, 1943, where Pluto serves as a wartime guard dog. This version circulates as a Hollywood Edge library effect described as a quick high-pitched zip with kazoo-type razz, slurps and zings. Short vintage cartoon effects like this stayed in editing libraries for decades, so the same suction noise turns up in modern memes, fan edits and soundboards whenever a creator needs an instantly readable cartoon grab without using dialogue or music.

A very short vacuum sucking sound effect with a high-pitched zip and slurp, sourced from the 1943 Pluto cartoon Private Pluto, used for quick cartoon grabs.
This clip lasts less than half a second and captures a vacuum suddenly pulling small objects in with a sharp, zippy rush. The pitch climbs quickly, ending in a brief kazoo-like razz and slurp that makes the suction feel cartoonish rather than mechanical. It reads instantly as something tiny being yanked out of frame, even without picture. Because it is so short and exaggerated, the sound lands as a visual punchline, adding frantic energy to a grab, a slip, or a sudden disappearance in an edit.
