Expunged comes from Vs Dave and Bambi, the Friday Night Funkin mod first released in 2021 by MoldyGH and his team. He is a powerful, distorted form of Bambi who appears as the opponent in the hidden song Unfairness, known for glitchy visuals and shifting forms. Fans clipped his extended laugh from gameplay and edits, and it spread through YouTube, TikTok and soundboards as a shorthand for an overpowered villain enjoying the chaos. It remains popular with FNF players who recognise the character instantly.

Expunged laughing sound effect from Friday Night Funkin Vs Dave and Bambi, featuring his maniacal laugh used for villain, horror and meme edits.
This clip captures Expunged breaking into a long, unhinged laugh that rises, stutters and collapses into a lower giggle before erupting again. The voice is distorted and theatrical, shifting pitch as if the character is losing control completely. It lasts several seconds, which gives the mania time to build rather than landing as a quick punchline. Listeners hear pure villainous delight, the sound of a character who finds chaos genuinely funny. That drawn out intensity makes a scene feel more unsettling and absurd at the same time, especially when the visuals stay calm.
