Mega Metagross is the Mega Evolution of Metagross, the steel and psychic type Pokemon, introduced in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire in 2014. In the games, Mega Evolution temporarily boosts a Pokemon during battle, and Metagross gains extra speed and power in this form. Its distinctive cry has since been shared widely as a short soundboard clip, especially by Pokemon fans making battle videos, team showcases and Mega Evolution edits. It remains popular because the sound instantly signals one of the series most powerful and recognisable final forms.

The Mega Metagross cry from the Pokemon games, a sharp metallic roar. Fans use it for Mega Evolution moments, battle edits and Pokemon memes.
Mega Metagross's cry is a short, powerful burst of distorted metallic noise, layered with a deep, grinding roar that sounds like heavy steel shifting and locking into place. It is louder and harsher than a regular Pokemon cry, with a rising, almost mechanical edge that makes the creature feel massive and unstoppable. In a video, it lands like a sudden power-up, instantly raising the tension and signalling that something far stronger has just entered the fight, especially for viewers who recognise the Mega Evolution form.
