The sound comes from promotional material for Infinity Pool, the 2023 psychological horror film written and directed by Brandon Cronenberg and released in theatres that January. Mia Goth co stars alongside Alexander Skarsgard as part of a wealthy resort couple drawn into violent local rituals. Clips of Goth from Pearl, X and Infinity Pool circulated widely on TikTok and soundboards because of her distinctive delivery. This isolated word was shared separately as a reaction clip, where its cult like tone fits horror edits and dark humour posts.

Mia Goth saying religious in Infinity Pool, a short movie clip used often for horror edits, reaction videos and unsettling meme soundboards online.
This clip captures Mia Goth delivering the single word religious with a calm, drawn out intensity that feels more like a warning than a description. Taken from Infinity Pool, her soft British accent and steady tone make the line sound hypnotic and slightly threatening at the same time. The brevity is part of its power, one loaded word hanging in silence before anything else happens. Viewers instantly feel unease because the delivery suggests obsession, ritual and hidden danger, making even a short five second moment stick in the memory long after playback.
