Orbing is the teleportation power used in Charmed, the American fantasy drama that first aired in 1998, by Whitelighters and witches who inherit that ability. Characters dissolve into a swirl of blue or white orbs to travel instantly between places, and the accompanying shimmer became closely tied to that visual in reruns, clips and fan edits. As short magical effects became popular for social video transitions, the sound found a second life beyond the show, used whenever a creator wants a quick, clean teleport without dialogue or music.

A short shimmering orbing effect from Charmed, heard when a witch teleports in blue light. Editors use it for magical arrivals and exits in edits.
This is the brief, sparkling whoosh that accompanies orbing in Charmed, the series' signature way for good witches to travel. It opens with a soft, rising shimmer, like tiny bells and air rushing together, then fades quickly as the character dissolves into glowing particles. Lasting less than half a second, it feels clean, magical and instantly recognisable, signalling that someone has arrived or vanished without a word of explanation. In an edit it creates a sense of wonder and speed, turning an ordinary cut into a supernatural entrance or exit.
