The word 'poggers' grew out of Twitch chat culture as typed-out hype for exciting moments, spinning off the older PogChamp emote. Jacksfilms, the longtime YouTube comedy creator Jack Douglass, picked the word up in his videos and delivered it with theatrical enthusiasm that made his version stand out. Fans clipped the delivery and it spread across meme compilations, Discord servers and soundboard sites. Because the shout is so exaggerated, it works as a universal hype button for gamers and editors years later.

This short clip captures YouTuber Jacksfilms, real name Jack Douglass, belting out the word 'poggers' with his signature over-the-top energy. His voice cracks with playful excitement on the first syllable before landing the punchline syllable with a grin you can hear. It sounds like the exact moment a gamer lands something absurd and has to yell about it. The delivery is crisp, bright and instantly recognisable, which makes it perfect for punctuating a highlight instead of drowning the moment out.
