Poggers began as Twitch slang for excitement, built around the wide-eyed PogChamp emote, and it quickly became shorthand for hype in gaming streams and reaction videos. This version stands out because it filters that internet slang through Gilbert Gottfried, a comedian famous for his loud, raspy voice and abrasive comic timing. Shared on soundboards and dropped into edits, the clip works as a deliberately mismatched reaction, pairing an older comedy voice with modern gaming culture, which keeps it funny long after the original hype moment has passed.

Gilbert Gottfried shouts an over-the-top Poggers reaction in this short clip, used for hype moments, gaming wins and funny reactions in streams and edits.
This clip captures Gilbert Gottfried's unmistakable raspy, high-pitched voice bursting into an exaggerated Poggers reaction, with the word stretched and shouted for maximum comic shock. It sounds loud, frantic and deliberately over-the-top, like a cartoon character losing control at a moment of sudden excitement. That contrast between Gottfried's famously abrasive delivery and the playful gaming slang is what makes it land, turning a simple hype reaction into something absurd, memorable and instantly recognisable in a short video even before the on-screen joke fully lands.
