Smth 99 is one numbered entry in the user-made Smth series, with the button labelled Russian brainfart and credited to theodor75. Like other entries in the series, it circulated among soundboard users who collect short, joke-driven clips for edits, streams and group chats rather than through a film, show or song. Its appeal is simple: the numbered Smth format makes it easy to find again, while the crude, meme-style humour fits the same kind of moment as a fart button or a fart meme sound, so creators keep reaching for it when they want a quick, low-effort laugh.

Part of the Smth series by theodor75, this Russian brainfart sound clip is a short, silly meme effect used for jokes, edits and reaction moments.
Smth 99 is a short, deliberately absurd clip from the Smth series, built around the Russian brainfart button credited to theodor75. It plays like a quick burst of nonsense humour rather than a polished effect, with a crude, cartoonish edge that lands best when it interrupts something serious. At just under twelve seconds, it is long enough to let the joke sink in but short enough to drop into a video without dragging the scene down. Viewers tend to react with a surprised laugh or a groan, which is exactly why creators use it as a punchline, a failed-plan sting, or a way to undercut a dramatic moment.
