Captain Planet and the Planeteers first aired in 1990 and ran through the mid 1990s, following five teenagers given element rings to fight pollution. Linka, the Planeteer from the Soviet Union, held the Wind ring, while the others controlled Earth, Fire, Water and Heart. When danger grew too large they combined their powers and shouted their elements in sequence to summon Captain Planet himself. Clips of those calls later circulated on soundboards and in nostalgia edits, where the single word cue is instantly recognisable to viewers who grew up with the series.

The Linka Wind call from Captain Planet and the Planeteers, a short shout and whoosh used for summoning edits, power up jokes and nostalgic cartoon cuts.
This is Linka calling on her ring power in Captain Planet and the Planeteers, a sharp single word shout layered over a rushing air whoosh. It lasts less than a second, but the delivery is clear and commanding, instantly signalling that one of the five elements has been activated. On its own it feels heroic and a little dramatic for such a simple word, which is why it lands so well as a punchline. The burst of wind noise gives it a sense of movement, like something powerful is about to arrive or be blown away.
