The line parodies Mario's 'It's-a Me, Mario!' greeting, first heard in Super Mario 64 and voiced by Charles Martinet, which became one of gaming's most recognisable introductions. The Grand Dad version replaces Mario with the hero of 7 Grand Dad, a bootleg hack of Super Mario Bros. that swapped in a Flintstones-like character. Clips of the hack spread through YouTube and meme communities, where the mismatched name became a running joke. Creators still use it because the familiar greeting sets up an expectation that the wrong name instantly breaks.
